While walking, his every step used to be associated with the mamthra 'vAdhirAt' and simultaneously the danda used to hit the ground. The sound (Dhwani) generated by his gambhIra tone intermingled with the sound of gejje used to thrash out evil forces in the vicinity. Such was his thapa:shakthi. He has to his credit many great works and one important among them is a samskRutha tIkA to shrImadhDharikaThAmRuthasAra. It is called " shrI vyAsadhAsa sidhDhAmtha kaumudhI " . The custom of offering coconut (tengina kAyi uraLisOdhu) is practised at his abode (Bellary) as is done in the sanniDhi of shrI bhUtharAjaru in sOde or nAraLa.
