ESTABLISHMENT OF VARIATIONS IN THE NATURE OF HUMAN BEINGS: ( NICHOCHEHA

BHAVANGATHAHA, THARATHAMYA SAMARTHANA:)

One can understand the group of dhevatas from the following:

BG 7-4: From this sloka though we may know many dhevatas, we do not

understand the ranking of these dhevethas from 10th & 11th adhyayas it

appears that Indra is the deva sreshta i.e. highest among the dhevathas.

BG 10-22: I am in Indra giving him the greatest importance.

BG 47-48: Hey Arjuna, since I am pleased with you, I have shown my this

Visvarupa by my own ability which except you others cannot see this

visvaroopa, either by study of vedas, or by yajnas or by any other means.

From this, it appears Arjuna i.e Indra is highest among all the devatas.

But Indra who is the presiding devatha of manas even though he is greater

than all other devathas, he is inferior to Brahma dheva & Rudhra presiding

devatas of Mahath & Ahankara & their wives, according to the last sloka in

Chapter 3 which enumerates the gradation of devathas.

BG 3-42: Here eventhough it is stated that manobhimanidevatas are higher

than yindria bhimanidhevathas sruthis in katakopanishad on the basis of

which this sloka should be reconstructed as " Yindri ye bhyaha parahyarthaha

artheby " bhyascha parammanha " / This means that the presiding devatas of

indriya are higher than presiding devata, of body presiding dhevatas of

indriyas, presiding devathas of manas, rudra, shesha & garuda are higher

than presiding devatas of artha, presiding devatas of buddhi, Saraswathi is

higher than presiding devatas of manas. Presiding devatas of mahath,

Brahmadheva is higer than saraswathi. Presiding dhevatha of avyaktha is

greater than Brahma deva. Therefore Krishna's statement to Arjuna " except

you, no one else can see this visvarupa should be taken as meaning " except

you & other devatas higher than you like Brahma, Rudhra etc... no devata

lower than you like Daksha etc.. can see such visvarupa by any means. " From

Kenopanishad, it is context, " Rudhram Samsritha dhevanaharudhro brahma

srithaha brahmamamasthethonithyam naham kanchidupasirihaha " also clearly

indicate the gradation of devatas.

According to the advaitha system, one & the same God, for the purposes of

creation maintenance & destruction has taken three names as Brahma, Vishnu &

Rudhra. If Ikya is discribed to three moorthies, it results in many

difficulties. If one & the same chetana appears in three different ways,

then one of them feels pleasure or pain the other two also should feel the

same.

Secondly, they have accepted difference in their wives, place of living &

difference in results to seva rendered to them. Vishnu bhakthas get mukthi,

sivabhakthas get only temporary comfort. Some of them have finally perishad

like Ravana. Brahma is born from nobhi kamala of Vishnu, Rudhra was borne

from the forehead of Brahma's face (above the eyes-lalatha). Thus for

Vishnu, Brahma is a son & Rudhra is grandson. There are authoritative

statements like " Brahmani Brahma roopasavsivarupi sivasthihaha " from which

Narayana is present in Brahma & siva & doing the work of creation &

destruction, but Brahma & Rudhra are only for name sake just as Krishna told

Arjuna " Gamvisya chabhoo thani dharayama ha mojasa " " Aham vaishvanaro

bhuthva praninam dhehamrsri thaha " These are all authorities to show that

Narayana is only supreme God & Brahma & Rudhra are high class dhevathas

(jeevas) as Krishna has said " Easwaraha sarva bhuthanam hrudhdhesajuna

thisthathi; Bramayansarvabhuthani yanthrarudani mayaya; perhaps the

clinching evidence to show that there is no Ikya is Vishnu, Brahma &

Rudhra., & that they are seperate individuals, when Arjuna saw Vishvarupa,

He saw them as seperate individuals, pasyami dhevam sthavadhe madhehe

sarvani; brahmona meesam kamal asanastham... meaning hey Swami, I am seeing

in your body Brahma & Easwara who is sitting on the lap o Kamala sana

Brahma....similar statement is in padmapurana. Krishna also has said in

sloka (10-23 to give important to Rudhra I am present in him as Sankara.
