Dear friends, While I was in India last year I had chanced upon a wonderful

book called Vaysu Stuti in English & Kannada, With forewords by DR.BNK & the

great Dha.Ra. Bendre. I often wondered who the author of this book was, not

withstanding my unfamiliarity with all Kannada Kavigalu. Imagine my surprise

when I was introduced to Dr. G.V. Kulkarni popularly known in India as Jeevi

at the Great Kannada Sammelana event in Houston, Texas.

Jeevi got his M.A. & Ph.D. in English Literature from Bombay University. He

has written extensively on the writings of Bendre & Gokak. He has published

five poem collections, 12 one act plays, one short story collection & a

novel in Kannada and an anthology of poems - MUSINGS- in English.

More importantly, for VMS members that is, He has translated ' Sri Nrusimha

Stuti' & 'Sri Vays Stuti'. He also practices & teaches YOGA & MEDITATION.

I mentioned to Jeevi about VMS & the possiblity of inviting him at least to

Washington, DC. I suspect that many of you already know about Jeevi & will

perhaps be eager to meet him . I spoke with Vasu Murthy last night about

this & he suggested I write this e mail for the benefit of VMS members. At

present Dr. Kulkarni is staying with his son in Dallas & he said he is going

to Minneapolis on Sept. 25 & that he will be free to travel after that .

Look forward to hearing from VMS members on this issue. If any of you want

to contact me at home, my new home number is 301-421-9699.

re: FW: Dr. Jeevi Kulkarni

DEAR sri Gopi,

I am excited and delighted to read your letter and the circular sent Madhwa

friends.

I am here in Dallas enjoying the company of Kannada friends and relatives. I

am busy with my Yoga-Shibir, the training workshop. You can write to your

friends to download the workshop material from my son's web site:

http://www.pclink.com/RaghuKul/

This will give your friends the idea about the workshop. I will have to

train personally for three to four days. The participants will be benifited.

I will bring some neti-pots to demonstrate and teach jalaneti.

I am going to Pittsburg on 16th and I will be there for four days. If you

have friends there , ask them to contact me or send me their e-mail ID and

telephone number.My e-mail id is <jeevi

Thanks,

Yours,

Jeevi Kulkarni

If one always practices to do actions with a dedicated spirit to Hari, in

this way, it pleases Vishnu.
