Shri SATYABODHATIRTHA & Shri VISVENDRARU

 

Two Publications Containing Haridasa Songs are in the

Offing.

 

One is a collection of songs eulogising Shri Shri

SATYABODHATIRTHARU. It also contains his brief

biography and his contribution to Dwaita philosophy.

 

As we know well, he was one of the most illustrious

Pontiffs of uttaradimatha. (A.D. 1744-1784). His

Vrindavana is at Savanur and his Punyatithi falls on

10th March this year, on which day the book will be

published under the title `Haridasaru Stutisida Shri

SATYABODHARU'.

 

You might have seen similar collections `Haridasaru

Stutisida… ' on Tirupati Venkatesha, Udupi

Shrikrishna, Shri Raghavendratirtha, and also a

collection of compositions on Sode Shri

Vadirajatirtha.

 

The Second one is a collection of Songs Composed by

Shri Vishvendratirtha Swamiji, predecessor of the

present Swamiji of Sode Matha. These Compositions are

almost unknown. Recently I gave a talk in the presence

of Swamiji pointing out how Shri Vishvendratirtha was

influenced by Shri Vadirajatirtha and his

Tirthaprabandha. The proposed publication will have

this background study.

 

These publications will be of 70 pages each. The

printing cost thereof is manageable with us. But with

additional monetary help more number of copies can be

printed and sumptuously low priced. I did so in the

case of compositions on Shri Vadiraja, in 1998. It was

a book of 220 pages on superior paper and priced at

Rs.40/-, less than $1.00 at that.

 

So, contributions are solicited. Any denomination is
