[shrI maDhvarAya, you took birth in the jaTara of

maDhyagEha dhvija pathni and destroyed the adhvaitha

matha and thus shined in the world]

 

Dear Haribhakthas,

Namaskaragalu.

 

The maDhva navami was celebrated on a very large scale by SVBM &

VMS West Coast Chapter at the Club House of Family Tree Apts.,

Santa Clara on 2nd February, 2001.

 

The evening program was well attended and the devotees were

so much immersed in the gamgApravAha that they did not realise

the clock going past 12 midnight. Such were the spiritual

vibrations.

 

The evening program started off with thArathaMyOktha bhajana.

When the bhajana reached shrI bhArathIsha in thArathaMya, the

devotees sang some padhyAs related to shrI vAyu from thathva-

suvvAli (mukhyaprANa sthuthi) & harikaThAmRuthasAra from

a) shrI mamgaLAcharaNa samDhi

b) shrI shvAsa samDhi

c) shrI aparOxa thArathaMya samDhi (RujugaNa sthOthra)

d) shrI kaxAthArathaMya samDhi.

 

This was followed by a lecture on shrI maDhvaru by shrI Krishna

Pandurangi who spoke in brief on the life sketch of shrI maDhvaru

and his works.

 

This event was followed by janma dhina celebrations of

Chi. ShriPrama (daughter of Smt. Shubha and Shri Seshagiri Rao).

 

Followed by this was the continuance of thArathaMyOktha bhajana

from shrI braHma dhEvaru and when the bhajana reached shrI hari,

shrI Balu spoke about the importance of gAyathri. He spoke

about different bhagavadhrUpAs, their vyApAra, different ways

of looking at shrI gAyathri mamthra, abhimAni Rushis, ChamdhAssu,

abhimAni dhEvathAs, etc.

 

The lecture was followed by mamgaLa & mahAmamgaLArathi.

 

Later on, all the devotees were treated with delicious prasAdha

and thanx once again to Smt. Shubha & shrI Seshagiri who took

entire responsibility of preparing food.

 

During the thIrTha prasAdha, devotees sang padha-padhya-suLAdhis.

 

We pray shrI hari-vAyu-gurugaLu to bestow their Grace on all of us.

 

We thank Smt. Radhika & Shri Raghavendra (VRP) for arranging

the Club house of their apt. complex.

 

We thank Smt. Shubha and Shri Seshagiri Rao for hosting the

maDhva navami celebrations.
