Namaskaaraglu,

madhwanavami aacharane was very divine. Friday-Sunday was very short for

all the events planned. First of all, Washington VMS thank all the people

who came from long distance to be part of the event. As usual, it is always

a great pleasure to meet and be part of the satsung with such devotees. Our

program started of with taaratamyanusaara bhajane on Friday evening.

Saturday morning, devara pooje was done at home followed by Krishna Pooje at

Shiva Vishnu Temple by Harish. He virtually took everyone to Udupi Krishna

Mutt. Chanting of vishnu sahasranaama, sukthas, and sumudva vijaya,

krishnashatakam,.... enriched the spiritual atmosphere in the temple. After

the thirtha Prasada, started another philosophical enrichment information

session by Mr. Jaikrishna (JK), Vasu Murthy, and Srinivasan G.V.

The concept of Swathantra and Parathantra according to AACHARYA with

demonstration of simple but clear examples made the participants understand

the subject crystal clear. Swanthatra and parathantra jivas was explained

by a simple example of kartha (Swathantra) of mannu (mud) from which created

madike (parathantra). Many other examples were explained but this is the

most simple one I could rely on to understand the concept. Mr. Vasu Murthy

did a wonderful comparison of Gita and Bible Gospel and recited many

quotations from both. Similarities in the preaching was pointed out. If any

of you have not read the article about the same by Bannanje, refer to

Taranga dated last week. Final speaker of the day was G.V Srinivasan on a

very divine topic of kshara and Akshara. Explanation based on Gita was very

spiritual. Questions and answers followed the session. We are very

fortunate to have people with such knowledge who provide very precise

information. In the mean time, a 30 minute quiz program was conducted by

Shasi Murthy for kids. Kids were grouped (boys and girls group) and each

group had to perform an action from any myth.story and the other group has

to guess. It was amazing to see the exposure of kids to some of these

stories. Kids did a wonderful job. Evening pooja with bhajan concluded the

program for Saturday. Sunday, Ekadashi, again devara Pooje was done which

concluded the Madhwanavami aacharane at Washinton D.C.

praying for the blessings of SRI HARI, VAYU, AND GURUGALU,

Our sincere thanks to all the participants and the speakers.

Looking forward for many more of these events.
