People should not post fund raising appeals directly the list. Fund raising appeals are moderated and should be sent to -owner. Here is a fund raising appeal regarding a charity that is doing very good work in India. The US coordinator is a very strong madhva community leader in the Washington area Sri SV Acharya. The charity is called " Shankara Netralaya " , a state-of-the-art eye hospital and research facility in Chennai. The owners have made a particular effort to serve the underprivileged at the facility. Various schemes to sponsor eye-treatments for the deserving underprivileged are described in the brochure. Sri Badrinath who runs in the facility in India is on a US tour to raise awareness and funds. It must be noted that Sri Uttaradhi maTha swamiji conducted a free eye camp at the facility some time ago. The attachments are in the MS Word format.
