Announcement of a new book and Fund-raising appeal.

Dear KrishNa bhaktas,

From time to time, we allow this forum to be used for

worthwhile fund raising appeals. People should not post fund raising

appeals directly the list. Fund raising appeals are moderated and

should be sent to -owner

 

Here is an annoucement from Sri Bindumadhava Kerur about an

important new book on Sri Nyayasudha aimed at laymen.

 

As you know, Sri H H Vidyamanya Teertha's first year Aradhane is

being celeberated at Palimaru and Udupi. He had a big dream of

publishing NyayaSudha - Jijnasadhikarana in plain kannada suitable for

laymen. 10 Years back, he told few great scholars to make articles.

There are now 32 articles on various aspects of Jijnasadhikarana . Due

to some problems in initiative and also on funding .. the publication

didn't come out.

 

Now this year, during the first year celeberation, Sri B N Venkatesh

Sudha student of this year at PPVP.. is planning to fulfil the dream

of their Parama Guru by bringing " SUDHA SOURABHA " Publication.

 

Our great scholors Sri D Prahladacharya, Sri Hayavadana Puranik,

Sri Guruvenkatacharya, Sri Haridasa Bhat A etc had written

articles long back based on the direction from Sri H.H. VM Swamiji.

 

The decision was taken few weeks back to complete the work. Most

scholars and well wishers of Sri Vidyamanyaru are working on this to

get this project completed by next month May 2 2001.

 

This project is estimated for Rs 2 Lakhs.. Around Rs 50

thousand was collected in a 2 week time in India. Organizers are

looking for support from the lovers of Sri Nyayasudha from this list.

 

There are 32 articles in the edition. A donor can sponsor for a

article by donating Rs 4000 or US $100. Any amount as a donation is

acceptable. People paying above Rs 1000 or US$ 30 will get a book free.

 

The cheques can be made to " Sri Rama Vithala Trust " - Sudha Sourabha

Project. Amount is exempted from 80G Income Tax act IN INDIA if you are

paying in Indian rupees. I will be acting as a coordinating point for

collecting the checks in the US and sending them together to India. You
