By around 1:00 PM, ThIrtha prasAda prepared by Smt. Anita Durg and Smt. Girija AchAr were served to the devotees. The prAsAda was delightful and the traditional delicacies of ChAturmAsya brought the fond memories of " maThada bhOjana " to the guests. Credit should go to this dharmapathnis for their service to God and to the assembled people. After ThIrtha prasAda, tattva vichAra was started around 2:30 PM. Sri.Ajaya Durg, Sri. Achar and Sridhari Hari gave a recount on the life and works of the three yathIs. A very detailed and lively discussion ensued on the course of this. This continued until 5:30 PM and a lot of important points on madhva ShAshtra emerged out of these discussions. This was followed by video play back of Sri SripAdarAjara moola brindavana and the life story - narrated by the moola brindavana archaka. Taratamya bhajane was started around 6:00 PM; after a brief intermission (tea break). DAsara padas composed on the yathIs by various dAsAs were rendered and their meanings were elucidated. We had a break inbetween, at 8:00 PM for evening SandhyAvandanam. The bhajane was continued after SandhyAvandanam and Swasthi MangalArathi was performed amidst traditional chanting of Mangala shlOkhAs by around 9:30. Each dasara pada was followed by discussion of the tatwas contained within the kritis. By the grace of Sri HariVayuGurugalu, this satsangha was organized at Austin by the VMS-HOUSTON (TEXAS) chapter, for the FIRST TIME. All those families that attended the satsangha were very happy that they could take part in this event. The whole of Saturday was very well spent in a divine atmosphere. Details on our next satsangha to celebrate the aaradhane of Sri Raghavendra Swamy will be made known shortly.
