Guest guest
Dear VMS Members, Here is a good news. The entire Mahabharata, an authentic version from Bhandarkar Oriental Res Institute is now on CD. Not just that. It has a concordance program, whereby it lists, on a given topic or name, all the Shlokas from the original text. For instance, ‘Bhishma’occurs in 1039 Shlokas, and one can ask for a list of all these Shlokas. This kind of search helps in studying any aspect of our interest in Mahabharata. The CD is available for sale, probably at the cost of about 80 dollars. Similar plan is being mooted for Sarvamula Granthas of our Preceptor.Has any one stored on CD the entire works? It will greatly help in coming out with the concordance, on similar lines, as above. Then again there is the work of separating Sandhi and Samasa words. One has to do that, before holding the text in MRF. Also, another plan is being worked out to hold on CD in this manner, namely 'Harikathamritasaara' of Jagannathadasaru.
