SRI PRASANNA AGESTHESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE

MULBAGAL - Kolar district

 

 

MULBAGAL (also called as Mudala-bagilu)is one of

the famous Pilgrimage centers. This temple is very

near to The famous Srianjaneya Temple. This place is

about 96 Kms from Bangalore and very near to

Sripadaraja Mutt (en- route to Tirupathi).

 

Sri Agesthya Rushi installed Sri Prasanna

Agestheswara Swami during his journey towards south

India. This came to our fore father's position about

1500 years ago My father took charge of this Temple 60

years ago . About 25 years back (My father had swapna

soochana,) Sri Vijay Needhi Swamigalu of Sripadaraja

Mutt conducted Prathishtapana of Sri Kalyana

Venkateswara Swami along with Sri Devi and Boodevi

Deity. Regular poojas are being celebrated every day.

As the temple was constructed 200 years ago renovation

was thought necessary. (This temple belongs to our

family Not coming under Govt management). Therefore

Bakthmandali decided to renovate the temple . The

estimated cost of renovation is about Rs 35 Lakhs.

Now at present old temple is demolished completely and

construction work is under progress. To raise funds

for the cost of Renovation, we are conducting

Digvijaya yatra of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swami

along with Sri Devi and Boodevi (Utsavamurthy) in and

around Bangalore (During Sravana Masa). We are

receiving good response from devotees. The

contributions so collected are being used for noble

cause of the temple construction.

We have the following type of contributions:

 

1. Hall Construction Rs 5,50,000/-

2. Cost of Rajagoopura 1,50,000/-

3. Mahadwara 1,25,000/-.

4. Garba guddies for each Deity- is Rs 50,000/ .

5 Mahadhanies 50,001/-

6. Dhanies 25,001/-

7. Minimum 5001/- .
