Dear Krishnabhaktas,

We the Directors of VMS are very happy to announce

that by the blessings of Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu and

Shri Sugunendra Thirtha Shripadangalavaru VMS has been

given tax exemption from Federal income tax under

section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an

organization described in section 501©(3). This was in

the works for some time, and is a major step in the

efforts to spread the teachings of our Jagadguru Sriman

Madhwacharyaru initiated by Shri Putthige Swamiji.

Shri Putthige Swamiji's message:

We are very glad to hear the good news from

Sathya. We feel our effort has reached to Lord Sri

Krishna and Srimadaachaarya.

I would like to thank all our Madhwa bandus associated

in this effort. In the last 3 years lots of Madhwa

related activities are happening all across the US and

let us continue our seva in acheiving the goals set in

our esteemed VMS organization.

Hello

Sathya,

This is

great indeed. We have a few people

in Michigan would like to utilize this opportunity and support projects in

India. Probably, we need to set

some guidelines on what kind of projects and how to use VMS name etc..

soon. This way there will be no

confusion from the individual chapters as to what can be encouraged. Once again, thanks to all of you for a

great effort in getting this.

" I am not the doer, shri Hari is the doer, all the actions that I do

are His worship. Even then, the worship I do is through His grace and not

otherwise. That devotion and the fruits of the actions that come to me are due

to His recurring grace "

If one always practices to do actions with a dedicated spirit to Hari, in

this way, it pleases Vishnu.

Dear Muralidhar and others,

I also want to congratulate Sri

SathyanArAyana, Sri SV AchArya and others who worked

hard in obtaining this landmark certification.

We have some restrictions in where we can

donate money in India. 501c3 rules state that money

should only be given to organizations registered as

Charitable institutions in India. VMS needs to make

sure that the money is really being used for

charitable activities We need to be aware of these

restrictions when planning charitable activities.

Let us discuss these planning details in the

separate vms volunteers list that we have.

I take this opportunity to request any

volunteers who want to help in this or other volunteer

work for VMS to contact VMS office bearers at

madhva.

Namaste,

Regards,

Vasu Murthy
