JnanaDoota Changes and MSP organisational changes

Greetings,

 

We are very happy to inform you that JnanaDoota has

been made a separate identity within MSP. It was

decided by the Executive committee recently that

JnanaDoota be made as a separate thread and will be

focusing on dissemination.

 

In a special meeting held recently, it was decided by

the TRUST and Executive committee to take in Shri

Anant Koppar, President and CEO, Kshema Technologies,

as the Vice President of the Executive committee. Shri

Koppar has more than 18 years of Experience in IT. He

is a Gold medalist in MTech at IIT. He joined Wipro in

mid 80s and in late 80's joined together with his

other collegues to Start up BFL software in Bangalore.

Later in 1998, he started up his own setup Kshema

Technologies in Bangalore. He hails from Gadag. We

wish him all the best for his services in MSP.

 

Here are the activities that falls under JnanaDoota

domain:

 

a. Deployment of Digital Manuscripts Library

b. Dissemination and deployment of all research

activities of other activities related to Indology

c. Seminars on Web

d. Webcast of Indological Lectures

e. Portal on Indology with special focus on

Mahabharata.

 

We expect the website contents to change and grow over

a period of time this year.

 

In order to make things happen, we welcome on board,

Shri Gopalakrishna varna to officially take over

JnanaDoota. He will be one point contact for all the

activities related to JnanaDoota.

 

Sri Gopalakrishna holds an MS in Computer Science from

BITS, Pilani. He has served in ISRO, Tektronics in

India. In the US, he has worked for Ford, Infineon

Technologies etc., He has more than 16 years of

experience in IT. While he was in US he was supporting

our cause and also much before going to US, he knew

MSP and its activities. He has returned to India for

good recently. He has been very actively participating

in MSP's activities since then. We would be assisting

him for his role as JnanaDoota incharge. We wish him

all the best and make JnanaDoota as one of the premier

websites on Indology in the coming years.
