Sri Puthige Swamiji

Dear Friends,

 

His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, Puthige Matha, Udupi and his

group had arrived safely in Pittsburgh from India yesterday evening (22 May)

and was received in the airport by the authorities of Sri Venkateshwara

Temple in Pittsburgh. Swamiji is the chief diginitary in Sri Narayana

Ashtakshara Maha Mantra Yagna in the Temple on the occasion of the Silver

Jubilee Celebrations of the Temple.

 

Swamiji is accompanied by Sri Vadisachar, Sri Prasannachrya, Sri Shrisha

Bhat and two vidyarthees who had done Sudha Mangala recently and graduated

from Puthige Vidhya Peeta, near Udupi. Two other priests in Swamiji's

group, Sri Rammohan Kodancha and Sri Ramadas are in Phoenix looking after

the Temple there.

 

Apart from participating in the Yagna in the Temple in Pittsburgh, Swamiji

and group will also lead the Mettilotsava in this Temple on 26 May (Sunday),

and inagurate and participate in the Vishwa Madhva Sangha Conference in the

Murrysville Conference Center (Pittsburghh) on 26 and 27 May (Memorial Day

Weekend). Full details of these programs are given in the specially created

As in the previous years, Swamiji and group are expected to travel widely

and visit many cities in the North America during the course of next few

months for the purpose of dharma prachara. Iternary of Swamiji will be

Vishwa Madhwa Sangha warmly welcomes Sri Panduranga Vittala Devaru, Swamiji
