Guest guest
Dear Friends, His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji was welcomed with traditional honors in Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Pittsburgh yesterday (Thursday) and the attached picture shows Sri Swamiji leading the procession from the Temple to the yagna mantapa for start of the Sri Narayana Ashtakshshara Maha Mantra Yagna yesterday. Sri Swamiji had presented a specially made pure silk peethambara vastra (more than 9 yards) to Lord Srinivasa and silk saree vastra to Goddess Padmavathi yesterday. The Lord and the Goddess will be adorned with these vastras today and these alankaara will remain till Saturday night (about 8 pm). This is for the information for those visiting the Temple. We will meet at 5 pm tomorrow (Saturday) in the Temple in the yagna mantapa to discuss final details for Mettilotsava on Sunday. Our already announced plans for Mettilotsava and VMS Conference remain the same as announced. On Sunday, we will be in CCAC car parking lot for shuttle bus pick-up before 6:15 am. Predicted temperature at 6 am in Pittsburgh on Sunday is 60 degrees F and no rain. We will get down at the foot-hill from shuttle bus and form into groups. Procession to Pushkarani will start at 7 am, led by Swamiji. Procession will consist of groups with space between the groups, each group singing their own pre-selected songs, stothras. At Pushkarani, all groups will sing together simultaneousely the song " Bidano Ninnangri Srinivasa " . The audio and script for this song are in the internet site http://www.tatvavada.org/metlotsava Please note the following details since these are being announced for the first time here. Procession will enter the prakaara at 8:30 am and all the groups will be assembled into one single group immediately after entering the prakaara. While waiting for the Lord to arrive in the prakaara at 8:45 am, the group together will recite the following: Sri Venkatesha Stothra, Ananda Mukunda Aravinda Nayana (Dwadasha Stothra, 12th chapter) and Palayachutha (Sri Krishna Roubyapeeta Sthuthi, Sri Vadirajaru) and hence please do come prepared with scripts for the above. We have arranged with the Temple authorities for the Lord to stay before us after reaching us in the prakara for all of us to sing together the two songs Kande, Kande and Dasane Maadiko Enna. The audio and script for these songs are also provided in the above internet site. When the Lord starts to move away from where we have gathered in the prakara, we will re-group into our original groups and follow behind our Lord, singing the pre-selected songs, to the yagna mantapa where Mettilotsava will conclude. Please note and follow these suggestions so that there is no chaos and confusion and all of us derive poorna satisfaction of the function. Looking forward to be with you all during one of the " high-points " in our lives. Hare Srinivasa Namaskaragalu Bindu ps Please note that no photography or video recording is allowed inside the Temple building. <<Welcome 2 with Caption.jpg>>
