Mettilotsava/VMS Conference

Dear Sri Hari Bhakthas,

 

By the Grace of Sri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu, we all had a great " memorial "

weekend. Mettilotsava and VMS Conference were truely great and were very

successful beyond what I had imagined. As Sri Muralidhar from Detroit had

put it, we all had done some thing meritorious in the past to be fortunate

to be intimate with our sajjanaru and the Lord all thru the last weekend,

and not being aware of the outside world at all, that too in this distant

land.

 

Every one I had talked to was very happy about the functions. There was

free flow of devotion and bhakthi and all of us were in sync with our Lord.

After returning home late Monday night, I had to take Tuesday off from work

since I was still not in this world to concentrate on work in office!

 

There is general agreement that we all need to plan and repeat the last

weekend every year. Pittsburgh is ideally located. We can work with the SV

Temple and explore Mettilotsava every year. We can form a planning

committee to formulate the next year Memorial Day events in Pittsburgh.

 

We can plan on having a scholar from India for the VMS Conference following

Mettilotsava. We can accomplish all these under $2500-3000 which is within

our reach.

 

I need to communicate with the SV Temple and explore whether their current

board of directors will be able to accept the concept of Mettilotsava every

year. For this, I need your input and support.

 

Last, but not the least, all of you were very gracious in pointing out

only the good. I am sure there were avoidable short-comings which we will

try to eliminate in the future.

 

Once again, thanks to one and all for the unforgetable " memorial " weekend.
