How to participate for the live voice chat on 6th July - Details

Greetings,

 

Thanks for the good response that we have received for

the live voice chat with Sri Sri Sathyaatma thirtha

swamiji, seer Srimad Uttaradimatha.

 

The agenda of the programme is as follows:

 

1. Login and online registration 8:30 PM - 8:45 PM IST

2. Voice quality test - 8:45 PM - 8:50 PM IST

3. Invocation - 8:50 PM - 8:55 PM

4. Welcome address - 8:55 - 9:00 PM by various

chapters of VMS.. Sri Vasu to take the necessary

initiative

5. Swamiji's address to the audience with a pravachana

on the topic " Sadhana in modern times as prescribed

in texts " 9:00 PM - 9:15 PM

6. Swamiji's answer to all the questions 9:15 PM -

9:55 PM

7. vote of thanks from various chapters of VMS 9:55 -

10:00 PM

 

 

Instructions:

 

a. Please send in your instant messenger ids to

livechat immediately if you are willing

to participate in the chat (if you don't have one

already please visit messenger. and create an

id yourself and send it across)

b. Download the instant messenger if you don't

have one with you from the same site and install in

your machine.

c. please login on or before 8:30 PM IST (please check

up your local timings)

d. please open one more IE or Netscape and visit the

following URL and keep it ready for test -

e. Make sure your system has both speakers and

Microphone. If you don't have please intimate the same

while sending the ids to

livechat.

 

If some more people are intending to send questions

please do it immediately.. after 7:00 AM IST on 6th

June your questions will not be considered for the

chat. you can send the questions to

livechat

 

Please do not have any apprehension whether your

questions would be rated or questions are expected to

be standard since swamiji is answering, Swamiji is

there to answer all kinds of questions, please discard

any apprehension and feel free to ask anything which

is not controversial. You can ask on

Advaita/v.advaita/dvaita, epics and puranas, code of

conduct and method of worship, daily practices, dress

code and traditional practices, role of

swamijis/mathas in future, agenda of swamiji to spread

the holy message of Vedavyasa etc.,

This is a followup mail. Since few people have asked

few questions regarding the set up:

 

Important points to be noted:

 

a. We would be using instant messenger for the

chat like last time.

b. Swamiji's lecture and his answers would be

webcasted live by a website below:

Please open this and set the settings to your

preferences.

 

You might be confused by the above two points - for

clarity, we plan to use the above link for

broadcasting of lecture and answers live. However if

the quality is not acceptable, we will switch back to

messenger. Alternatively, messenger will

be used to ask connected questions and for text based

chats. so this should justify the use of

messenger.

 

c. To listen to the webcasts, you need to download a

decoder tool from the site we have given above, it

will prompt you and you need to install it.

Alternatively, if you have Windows media player,

RealAudio 8 player or WinAmp etc., you can also use

the same. But they recommend to install theirs.
