Dear Adyaathma Bandhus,

By the grace of our Lord, the Religious Committe, the Executive Committee

and the Board of Directors of Sri Venkateshwara Temple have approved

Mettilotsava as an annual official new celebration and seva to our Lord

Srinivasa in their Temple on Sunday of the Memorial Day Weekend in May.

The first Mettilotsava in this Temple, inagurated and led by His Holiness

Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, Puthige Matha, Udupi, was organized and

conducted by enthusiastic and devoted members of the Vishwa Madhwa Sangha

(VMS), hailing from many states in the USA, during the Memorial Day weekend

this year , similar to the Mettilotsava celebration performed every year in

grand scale in Thirupathi.

Mettilotsava is walking up the holy hill, singing Dasara devaranaamas,

devotional songs, in the company of devout devotees for the Dharshan of the

Lord on the top of the hill.

VMS and the devotees who participated in the Mettilotsava this year would

like to thank the authorities in Sri SV Temple for their approval of

Mettilotsava as an annual function in the Temple and providing an

opportunity for the devotees to perform this unique seva to our Lord every

year. This opportunity is open to all devotees, bhajan groups, stothra

paarayana groups etc regardless of any differences in the philosophical

faiths they belong to.

Srinivasa neene paaliso sruthajana paala gaana lola Sri Mukundane
