Fellow Madhvas,

 

Today's Deccan Herald has a piece of news about the Golden Jubilee

celeberations of ABMM. Congratulations to ABMM and another big

achievement by Sri Vishvesha Tithrtha Sripadangalavaru. While

reading this reading news

following paragraph:

 

" The three-day programme at Udupi will be inaugurated by Sri

Vidyadhirajatirtha Swamiji. There will be five seminars on diverse

topics like history, contribution and organisation of the Gowda

Sarasvata Samaj. "

 

 

May I know who is Sri Vidyadhirajatirtha Swamiji?

 

May I know what is this Gowda Sarasvata Samaj organization?

I really don't know if he is 'THE' Vidyadhirajatirtha who

succeeded Shri Dvarakanatha Tirtha of GokarNa maTha.

 

Sri Dvarakanatha Tirtha had close links to Sri Pejavara,

PalimAra maTha-s and very involved in ABMM activities. Swamiji

had done great service in spreading our siddhanta. His successor

Sri Vidyadhirajatirtha is a great devotee of Sri Madhva, and known

for his adherence to Sri Madhva-s works.

I don't know what they mean by 'Samaj organization', however, the

Gokarna maTha-s of GauDa sArasvata-s was founded in 1476, by

Sri Narayana Tirtha, a disciple of Sri Ramachandra Tirtha ---

10th in the line of succession on the PalimAra maTha as per HDSV.
