Guest guest
NamaskAra, Recently I came across two things while listening some discourses. Hope it would interesting to you. 1> The death moment of any human being: It is said that any human being must and should be conscious during the last moment of death. The soul should experience the pain/pleasure of going out the body. No human being can die in unconscious state or in comma state. This was heard while listening to discourses arranged in " PunyaDhama " , Rajaji nagar, Bangalore. Vidwan Shri NagendrAcharya is delivering lecture on complete sarvamoola, from 1st Jan to 10 Feb. He said that many a time we listen people telling that the patient was improving but died suddenly or patient opened eyes but died suddenly. This is exactly due to above said reason. The person will be conscious at least for that fraction of moment. Any comments on this? Can we confirm by medical experts? 2> Shri Acharya Madhva's visit to Tirupathi: Acharya Madhva performed Chaturmasya in Tirupathi and during that time he taught Sukha muni on the banks of Padmatirtha. This is mentioned in Shri MushNam xetra mahatme and is quoted by Shri Vijayendra swamigalu in one of his work. (Sorry I am not in a position to recollect the name of the work). This was told by Shri swamiji of Bhandarkere maTa while inaugurating the madhva navami function in Prakasha Nagara, Rayara MaTa, Bangalore. I remember there was discussion sometimes back about Acharya Madhva's visit to Tirupathi and no clear evidence was available anywhere. In that context this may be interesting news. But I am not sure why this appeared in Shri MushNam xethra mahatme and what is Padmatirtha in Tirupathi. Any scholars to enlighten on this? NamaskAra B.Gopalakrishna Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. During ABMM's Golden Jubilee celeberations, one one of the days(last Saturday I suppose), one of the speakers mentioned something to this effect: While the curiocity to find possible commanalities between aspects of Madhva siddhanta and modern science is good, it's not good either to seek modern science's approval for accepting/appriciating Madhva siddhanta or to view Madhva siddhanta with modern scientific lens. I'm in complete agreement with this approach. Modern science, with all it's advancement is limited even in the temporal aspects of life (physical body, etc.), so when it comes to etrnal aspects(jIva, etc) we can estimate it's infancy. Since Madhva siddhanta is The 'lived and living experience' for, atleast, Madhvas; it's the responsibility of science to conform to this experience/observation and not vice versa.
