We are happy to announce that a book on Shri Vadiraja Tirtha of

Sode Matha has been published in English language. It is meant

for the following types of readers.

 

1. many people from outside Karnataka go to Sode. They want to

know more about Svamiji but all his biographies are in Kannada,

which language they don't understand.

2.. Abroad, especially in U.S.A. there are good many devotees

of Shri Vadiraja. This book is quite handy for reference .(Also

they may show it to their American friends)

3.. Out own Kith and Kin, not accustomed to reading in Kannada

would like to go through the English version. Last year the present

Svamiji of Sode Matha expressed his desire in the matter. And he

released the book on the eve of this year's Aradhana at Sode.

 

The book is compiled from different sources by Dr. Shrinivas Havanur

and translated into English by his doughter-in-law Smt. Anjana.

Its special features are:

 

a) Photographs of Sode and its temples.

 

2.. English Transliteration of the popular stotra, namely

Krishnaashtaka (Udupi ) so as to facilitate its daily recital.

3.. Glossary of Sanskrit terms.

4.. Printed in a handy size.
