With the prerane of Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu, We are hosting

'Akshaya thrithiya', one of the most precious days of the year at our house on

this Sunday May 4th, 2003. By doing ‘ Athyalapa PuNya’, one would get “Akshaya

Phala”.

We would like to invite you all to join us for a full day's program and get the

blessings of Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu.

1 - 3.30 PM : Thirthaprasada

 

3:30 - 4:15 PM : Sankishipta Shri Srinivasa Kalyana discourse

 

 

4.15 - 5.30 PM : Taratmya Bhajane

 

5.30 - 6.00 PM : Mangala, Mangalarathi

AKSHAYA TRUTHIYA- Auspicious day, MuhuRtha day, Any auspicious function

could be celebrated to day.

In all mutts, gandhalepana being done to Brindavanams.

 

a) Taking bath in the Sea is considered to be more sacred. Mahaa Phala.-

DhaRma kati- UdhukumBha Daana

 

On this day performing, Yava Homa, Yava Dhaana, Yava BhakShaNa ( Jave

Goodhi- Wheat) one would get “ SaRva paapa Parihaara”- Doing Gandha lepana

to Lord would get “Mukthi”-

 

 

By doing ‘ Athyalapa PuNya’ , one would get “Akshaya Phala”.

 

In order to please Devathas and Pitrus,:

pitharootha Pithaamahaa||

b) Tretha Ugadi,

 

c) Sri Parashurama Jayanthi,

 

At Pradosha, Parashurama Devaru should be worshipped.

Krupayaa Parameshvara||

 

With the above Mantra, arghya to be given.

 

d) Sode Shree Bhootarajara VaRDhamthi

 

e) Sri Venkatesh KaLyaNa PuraaNa AramBha,

 

f) Sri Vidyadhirajathirthara P.D (Jagannatha puri).

 

(1388-1392,) 7th pontiff of Sri Uttaradhi Mutt.,

 

He took Ashram from Sri Jayathirtharu. To spread Madhwa sidhdhantha, always

he used to be on tour. He gave ashram FIRST to Sri Rajendra Thirtharu.

During the last days of his guru , Sri Rajendrathirtha could not come in

time.

The guru , SECONDLY, gave ashram to Sri Kaveendra and entrusted the

Samsthaana.

 

So Sri Rajendrathirha started a new mutt. This mutt is now noted as Sri

Vyasaraya mutt.
