amara vAni, amruta vAhini comes to America

 

His Holiness Sri Satyaatma tIrtharu, the pontiff of SrimaduttarAdi maTha, is

universally respected as a great scholar and orator. His Holiness spent his

last chaturmAsya in Mysore and focused a lot of time on spreading the

teachings of Acharya Madhva. He also delivered a series of lectures on

select topics from Mahabharata, Prostapadi Bhagavata, Srimad Geeta Bhashya

of Sri Acharya and other workds. Given the depth of His Holiness’ erudition

and his ability to communicate even complex concepts into simple language

that everybody can understand, it was no surprise that his speeches were

heard with rapt attention by thousands of people in packed halls.

 

Fortunately for us, the organizers had the forethought to record the

speeches so that the pearls of wisdom that issued from his lips could be

saved for posterity. All the speeches delivered by His Holiness were

recorded in 64 audio cassettes. Being an enthusiastic follower of His

Holiness and with a view of doing Sri Hari Seva, I have converted all those

64 cassettes into a set of 4 MP3 CDs.

 

With blessings from HIS Holiness and Srimad Uttaradi Mutt, Bangalore, I’m

making those .mp3 CD’s available in the US, strictly as a seva to Sri Lord

Rama and a means to propagate the teachings of Acharya Madhva. A very

nominal guru-dakshina is being charged, so that the money can be channeled

back to UttarAdi maTha in India for use in worthy causes.

 

In Mysore, people would stand in line from 5 AM in the morning to get

sitting space in the hall and listen to the speech once. We are very lucky

that the speeches are being delivered to us at our doorstep so that we can

listen to them many times in the comfort of our homes.

 

The Cd’s contain lectures on the following topics;

1) Srimad Bhagavatha Prostapadi

2) Srimad Geeta Bhashya

3) Virata Parva from Mahabharatha

4) Anushasana Parva from Mahabharatha

 

The Gurudakshine for this set of 4 Cd’s are $40 PER SET, PLUS any postage

charges. If any of you are interested, please send an e-mail to

rama_seva. I can make copies of the Cd’s and send it across.

 

Alternatively if anyone were planning to come to Pittsburgh on May 24-26 for

the Mettallotsava, I can make copies of the cd’s and get it there.. But I

would need to know in advance as to who would want the CD’s. We just have 1

week left for the gathering.

 

Vayudevaru physically crossed the ocean to deliver Lord Rama’s message to

Sita maata. Is it any surprise that his devotee Sri Satyaatma tIrtharu’s

voice is crossing the ocean to deliver Lord Vedavyasa’s message to devoted

followers?
