I have changed the list subscription scheme to make sure that this does not happen again. List was in an open subscription mode until now. Now, all subscriptions have to be approved by the moderator. The offending user has been removed. This will prevent the incident from happenning again. To close this posting with a spiritual note, here is a brief note from of Sri Bannanje GovindAchArya’s CDs. Many respects and thanks to Sri Achayra. All errors in translation are mine. Sri BG compares “bhUtAnAm yoavyayah pitA” from vishNU sahasra nAma to quotes from the Gospel of Thomas. “avyayah pitA” means eternal father. There is a very similar quote from the Gospel of Thomas, “When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father “. Note: Sri BG compares other quotes from our scriptures to other quotes in Gospel of Thomas in his lectures. Gospel of Thomas is an ancient document that was discovered in Egypt at the beginning of the previous century. It contains more than 100 sayings of Jesus Christ. This Gospel is not accepted by most of the churches. Many of the sayings are in a mystical language. One of the translations available in the Web is at: http://www.goodnewsinc.net/othbooks/thomas.html Please start any discussions on the quote at vms-philosophy list.
