Guest guest
Dear Haribhaktas, Namaskara, The function was a huge success. The day time Aradhana function was attended by about 650 to 700 devotees and the evening function was attended by over 300. Devotees from as far away as Boston, Virginia, Washington DC and Pittsburgh had traveled to participate in the function. Amazed by the massive crowds and the way the function was being so methodically conducted, many wondered if they are in India or in America !!!!! Many volunteers have done lot of planning and have silently put in a lot of hard work, amidst their own busy schedules, to make this function possible. Kudos for a job well done. Here are some snaps from the function. These are 4 photo album links: 1. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all the participants / volunteers for their great contribution to the function. We had expected about to 350 devotees for the function. By the end of the day the number turned out be around a whopping 650+. It is truly a great experience to see some many kannadigas come to the event and some of them had a chance to meet their old time friends. Some of the key highlights of the function are : - Complete Madi Environment. Hats off to Shri Krishna Murthy. - Setting up a huge hall for the Aaradhana. - Stage Setup for Hari Vayu and Gurugalu - Pratah Sankalpa, Shri Raghavendra Ashtottara, Abhisheka, Alankara Pooja, Maha Mangalaharathi and Theertha Prasada - Sangeeta , Pravachana and Devaranamaas. - Thanks to Shri Yogeendra Bhat for the performing detailed pooja as per scriptural guidelines amidst vedic chantings which was so fulfilling to watch. - Converting a side hall (without water faucets and sink) into a full fledged kitchen and managing to cook for 650 people. Thanks to Shri Rammohan aachar and company. Totally amazing. All the volunteers did a tremendous job from setting up the stage to erecting tents, taking care of the devotees, handling Car Parking and helping in the kitchen and serving. Everybody appreciated the way the function was organised. Shri Raghavendra Swamy's Anugraha was there on all of us and so the function went off on a grand scale. Our Namaskaras to Sri Hari Vaayu GurugaLu for bringing everyone together and having accepted our seva. We look forward to performing more of such sevas with the sole objective of awakening spiritual interest and awarness in our community. Kind Regards, Raghu Bengeri.
