Sri Jagannathadasara Aradhane, Allentown - Final Announcement

Dear Sri Krishna Bhakthas,

 

By the grace of Sri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu, Sri Jagannathadasara aradhane will be

celebrated in our home in Allentown this coming weekend, Sep 6-7. All are

welcome.

 

Sep 6 (Sat) is ekadashi. Lectures in the afternoon/evening on Sri

Jaggannathadasaru, Harikathaamruthasaara, Bhagavatha discourse shravana

(probably chapters 8-9, video recording of Bhagavatha sapthaaha by Sri Sagri

Raghavendra Upaadhyaya) and full night devaranaama jaggarane will be followed by

early morning (Sunday)Dwadashi devara pooje, paarane/theerthaprasada.

 

As in the previous occasions, accommodation for out of towners will be provided

in our Sathsangha homes in Allentown area.

 

Full details of the program, including driving directions to our Allentown home

etc are given below. All are welcome.

3:30-4:30 pm Bhagavatha chapters 8-9, Allentown Sathsangha group has been

listening every ekadashi to video recording of Bhagavatha Sapthaha by Sri Sagri

Raghavendra Upadhyaya. Last session was upto Sri Lakshmi Swayamvara to Ajitha

naamaka paramaathma during the samudra mathana.

5:00-5:40 " Narasimha Sulaadi and life history of Sri Jagannatha Dasaru " , talk by

Sri Hunsur Sriprasad

5:40-6:30 " " Makkalaadisuvaaga " the first verse in Namasmarana Sandhi in

Harikathaammruthasaara " , a talk by Sri Kesavarao Tadipathri

6:30-7:15 " Important aspects of Tattvasuvaali of Sri Jagannatha Dasaru " a talk

by Sri Madhusudhan Bheemarao. He will also briefly talk about Sri Prasanna

Venkatesha Dasaru whose aradhane is on Dwadashi (Sep 7). All of us are familiar

with this dasaru's " Bidano ninnangri Srinivasa " we sing as a main song in

Mettilotsava every year in Pittsburgh!

7:30-8:00, Break, light palahara to children and any others not fasting.

8:00-9:00, Harikathaamruthasaara, group singing of the first 5 sandhis (Mangala,

Karunaa, Vyaapthi, Bhojana rasa vibhaaga, Viboohthi Sandhis)

9:00 pm-03:00 am, Devaranaama Jaagarane according to taarathamya

04:00-07:00 am, Dwadashi Devarapooje, hastodaka to Sri Jayatheertharu, Sri

Raghavendrararu, aradhane to Sri Jagannatha Dasaru, Sri Prasanna Venkatesha

From East/West

 

In I-78, take Hamilton Blvd (south) exit 54 or 54A (route 222 South). After

about 3-4 traffic lights, left into Brookside road. Go past 2nd traffic light

(Lower Macungie intersection), and within 0.5 miles from this intersection turn

left into Princeton road. House is 3rd house on the right after first stop sign.

 

From north/south

 

In I-476, take Lehigh valley/Allentown exit 56. Pay toll. Proceed towards

Allentown. Take first exit, route 309 south. Take Hamilton Blvd exit and proceed

as above.
