Guest guest
Shri Sode, the holy place where shri Vadirajaru entered the Vrandavana alive, is now jam packed with devotees.. On 5th March, Friday, the annual grand pooja to Shri Boothrajaru, popularly known as " dhande bali " is arranged. On 6th March, Saturday the Holy Hunnime day, the grand celebration of Car Festival of Lord Shri Trivikram is arranged. On this occasion a VCD narating mahima and life history of Shri Vadirajaru will be released at Sode. In two VCDs, all the importans events, places and works of Shri Vadirajaru, the incarnation of Shri Lathavya,( who is going to occupy the place of Lord Mukyaprana in the next Brahma Kalpa ) is covered in detail in audio/vedio media and it is a valuable source of information for each and every one. 9th March Tuesday is the aradhana of Shri Vadiraja guru Sarvabhoumaru. On this day of grand ceremony, the victory of Shri Vadirajaru over the Lingayath guru of Arawsappa Nayak( king of Sode at that time) will be celebrated. It is a rare opportunity to see the various special items like pearl crown etc. given in honour by the king Arasappa Nayak to Shri Guruvadiraajaru, nearly 500 years back. Also the holy khavi shati of Shri Vadirajaru, will be on display for public. There is special incident about Shri Vadirajaru. Lord Indra sent his persons and special plane to bring Shri Vadirajaru back to heavenly abode. But Shri Vadirajaru wanted to complete the car festival of Lord Trivikrama and so asked the plane to park on the Aswathth Tree near the Davala Ganga On palguna tadhige in the year 1600, Shri vadirajaru decided to go to heavenly abode, entered the Vrandavan alive and started meditating. After a while, when the movement of japamani in his hand stopped, Shri Bootharajaru covered the Vrandavana. Then people heard the sound of bells and saw Shri Vadirajaru moving in the special plane. The disciples begged Shri Vadirajaru for his mercy on them and so Shri Vadirajaru, as a token of his kindness, threw the golden paduka and shati ( khavi cloth) down to disciples. These items are preserved till today and will be displayed on Aradhana day. 10th March is the Aradhana day of Shri Vaysarayaru, another great saint and scholar in madhva parampara. The life history and the works of these two great saints are to be studied by each one of us. Let us all pray Lord Trivikrama, Shri Vadirajaru and Shri Bootharajaru to bless us with the right knowledge, jnana, bhakthi and vairagya. namaskAra B.Gopalakrishna ********************************************************************************\ ******** Note: The information contained in this message may be privileged and confidential and thus protected from disclosure.
