I quote from the book in Kannada by title " sri vijayadaasaru -jeevana mattu kritigala samiikshe " from the scholar Dr.K.Gokulnath M.A. P.H.D 1978 edition- Sri Sindhushayana Prakaashana, 467, fifth block, Rajajinagar, Bangalore-560 010. From 1865 to 1940 lived * sri tande muddu moohana vithala* and he gave ankita to 1165 people. His desciples have taken forward the the lineage of Haridaasas even till date. The twentieth century can be called as the age of * sri tande muddu moohana vithala* and can be called as the " third phase " in the great lineage of daasa saahitya. The first phase of daasa saahitya belonged to sri paadaraja,sri vyaasaraja, sri purundara daasa, sri kanaka daasa and sri vaadiraajaru. The second phase belonged to sri vijayadaasa,sri goopaala vithala,sri jagannaatha vithala, sri praanesha vithala daasaru. dhyaanavu krutayugadi yajana yagnavu trEtaayugadi daanvaantakana dEvataarchane dvaaparayugadi aa maanavarigeshtu phalavo ashtu phalavu kaliyugadi gaanadali kEshava enalu kai gUduvanu rangavithala - ---Sri Paadarajaru.
