Guest guest
Dear Hari Bhaktas, We would like to bring to your attention a momentous project, called Sudha Sourabha, currently underway in Bangalore and we would like to appeal to you for your kind and generous financial support for this worthy project. The main objective of this project is to publish (I think 7 volumes) in easy Kannada the various facets of Sri Nyaya Sudha, the magnum opus of Sri Jayatheertha Maha Prabu, so that even lay public can understand the grandeour of the logic and tattva in this magnificient work. Many, many Swamijis of various mathas and scholars are contributing their individual articles for publication in this project. This is truly monumental when we realize that study and understanding of Sri Nyaya Sudha is reserved for the very late stage in the traditional study of Madhva philosophy. It is expected that publication and distribution of these volumes in easy kasturi Kannada will significantly enhance the awareness of the Madhva philosophy among our own uninitiated Madhva circles and also has the potential to reach the spiritually inclined (Kannada speaking) masses in other communities as well. Potential also exists that such volumes can be later brought out in English and/or other local languages for study and appreciation by world-wide audience but the current scope of the project limits to publication of the volumes in Kannada. We are told that the printing of the volumes are set to start by end of this month. Currently, the financial requirement of the project is Rs 17 lakhs (Rs 1700000). The Madhva community leaders in India are mustering support for this project reaching out to as many Madhva circles in India as possible and are looking to Madhvas residing abroad for their generous support as well. Vishva Madhva Sangha (VMS) wishes to be a part of this momentous movement and would like to appeal to all readers of this e-mail note world-wide to offer their financial support. As we all know, many small drops ultimately make an occean, even small contributions will ultimately provide the sustenance to the projects of this kind. Please send your contributions by check to the following in the VMS and we will consolidate all the contributions and send one single check from VMS to the Sudha Sourabha project in Bangalore.Your financial contributions to the VMS are tax free (federal tax free) in the U. S. A. Please write your checks payable to Vishva Madhva Sangha. Address for mailing your checks: Sri Sathyanarayana Treasurer, Vishva Madhva Sangha 20217 Las Ondas Way Cupertino, CA 95014 U. S.
