Guest guest
Dear Haribhaktas, This is the time of the year, when you will start hearing the words “United Way” at your work place, particularly in the big US based corporations. If you have not heard the words “United Way” at the place where you work, please ignore rest of the contents of this email. This mail is intended for information purposes only Many US based Corporations participate in a big way, raising funds for United Way ( http://national.unitedway.org/ ) 2004-2005 United Way Campaigns are going on in full swing at many companies, Check you company's website for this year's United Way Campaign details. Many of you, may have participated in contributing to the United Way. The purpose of this email is to bring to your attention how you can direct the funds, which you contribute, to any tax exempted charitable trusts like VMS: VISHVA MADHVA SANGHA 20217 LAS ONDAS WAY CUPERTINO, CA 95014 It is a 501©(03) public charity EIN: 52-2126009 You can locate other charities (501©(03) public charity) at the national site http://www.guidestar.org/ You need to fill in " United Way donor choice form” at the time you fill in your " United Way pledge form " If you do not fill in this " United Way donor choice” form, your contributions will go to the United Way Organization in the county where you live. Although VMS is not a direct member of " United Way " most United Way campaign programs have no problem in forwarding / directing the money to any charities that you are interested (must be 501©(03) public charity) and designate it on the " United Way donor choice form” Another way, is to use the “Flex Funds”. These days many United Way Campaigns are allowing this concept where your contributions will be in Flexible account, from where you can direct your contributions at any time in smaller installments during the next 3 plus years. This way you will have a choice of directing your contributions as the year passes, to any charitable trust including your local Fire Fund etc. Check with your company United Way Representative for details. If you have any other questions please let me know. Regards Janardhan VidyaJan
