Guest guest
Here is my attempt at translating. Any errors, please correct. ************************************************* " Greetings to All HariBhaktas, In an effort to satiate their own political motives, some people who seem to think of themselves as " intellectuals and intelligent entities " are hurting the Dharmic sentiments of our religion and religious institutions. One such example is their proposal to take over the most sacred Punya Kshetra namely Udupi Shri Krishna temple. They are going to any extent and using all methods to acheive their purpose. As you may have observed in the recent days, the issue of the Udupi Gopura (also incorrectly referred to as the Kanaka Gopura) has metamorphosized into many forms. For their selfish reasons, these people are dragging the great saint and Bhakta KanakaDasa's name into this issue. Without knowing the true purport of Kanaka's devotion, character and Svaroopa, these people who have waged previous efforts in vain to secure their goal of taking administrative rights over the temple, such people will never understand the secret of KanakaDasaru. Can these people ever understand the true relationship of a Bhakta with God, or devotion and Bhakti feelings? Can they ever understand Kanakadasaru's heartfelt feelings towards mankind and God? These people are arguing that Udupi has got its famous name and sanctity only due to Kanakadasaru. This is nothing but an insult to Kanaka's Bhakti. For the Lord Krishna on whom Kanaka composed the beautiful song " Eesha Ninna Charana Bhajane Aaseyinda Maduveno " , who are we to bring fame to a Kshetra. Even Kanakadasaru will vouch for this. On December 17th, these people came to the sacred temple and tried to capture the same. However, it did not succeed. Hence, now, they are trying to use the government intervention and political means to secure the temple. If we Madhvas do not wake up now to this onslaught, we may have to be suffer later. To fight against this injustice is every Madhva persons duty. Whoever is for the Madhva community and its principles, please come forward. Please post your opinions and comments. If sacred Punya Kshetras like this become government property, then whats the difference between a government office and the temple? Please forward your opinions and responses to PRAJAVANI before this Saturday.
