Intersting Article in Tatvavada on Madhva Jana Jaagruthi by KM Sheshagiri

Our friend KM Shehsagiri has written an interesting article on Madhva Jana

Jaagruthi under the title " taaluvikeganthya tapau illa " . In this article he

has made a sample survey of Madhva's and come out some of the

intersting/awakening results in the areas like populuation of our

community, dharmacharane in our community including ekadashi aacharane,

publications of shastra books, bringing people together (sanghatane),

inter -caste marriage and many other issues. It is published in this month

Kannada Tatvavada (January 2005). For convenience I am enclosing pdf copy

of the article for immeidate reference.

 

For non kannada readers I request some one to make english translation.

Dear Sri Madhusudana Rao,

 

I was glad to see someone has taken first step in this direction.

The statistics are revealing.

 

Is anyone having idea about Birth Rates among Maadhvas?

(Birth Rate = No. of children born per woman).

 

I think it is too low in my observation. It may be far

below Replacement rate (Replacement rate = Birth rate required

to sustain current population numbers. It is 3 for India).
