Guest guest
Dear Devout Madhvas, This is an appeal on behalf of Shri Madhava Tirtha Matha, near Kolar. I request all devout madhvas to please contribute in their own way and get the blessings of Sri Veera Rama Devaru and Shri Anjaneya. Shri Madhava Tirtha Matha is the institution of Shri Madhava Tirtha, one of the 4 direct disciples of Shri Madhvacharya. Today, this institution is in need of financial help for its existance and also development activities that would help this institution get out of trouble. The Matha has been gifted with land in Bangalore, where an 8 Feet tall statue of Lord Venkateshwara has been installed along with the brindavanas of reverred gurus-Madhava Tirtharu, Sripadarajaru, Vadirajaru and Rayaru. The building is still under construction at a very slow pace for want of funds. The mutt is organizing Madhva Navami in the middle of February on a grand scale to raise funds for the same. A Brihuti Vishnu Homa is being organized on the occasion and 32 scholars will be honoured. 108 copper Kalashas are being installed for the Abhisheka on Madhva Navami. Madhvas are invited to participate by paying Rs.1008 towards a Kalasa. Silver Kalasa will cost Rs.10008. The matha estimates to collect around Rs.11 Lacs from this event and the total expenditure for this event is likely to be around 2.5 Lacs. The balance money would be used for the construcion of the Matha building in Bangalore. The junior swamiji of this matha, Shri Vidya Sagara Madhava Tirtharu is a scholar par excellence. He was serving as the principal of Shri Gurusarvabouma Vidyapeetha prior to taking up Sanyasa Ashrama. He is rendering unparallel services in his endeavour to propagate Madhva philosophy and also towards raising funds for his matha. He is delivering a series of lectures on Madhva philosophy in Telugu, Kannada and English across the country. He will be in Bangalore from the 12th to 16th of February 2005 in this connection and will be residing at Raghavendra Swamy Matha at Vidyamanya Nagara near Peenya. I request all of you to please contact him directly or get in touch with the matha at its headquarters in Tambihalli near Kolar. 08152-232709. Warm Regards.
