Dear Haribhaktas,

Here are some snap shots of the recently held

Shri Madhvanavami at Livermore Temple in the San Francisco Bay

area in California. About 130 people attended the function.

 

Here's the brief report:

 

Shri Madhvanavami was celebrated in Livermore temple on Feb 26th in a grand

scale. The event

started in the morning with stotra pathana – Shri Vishnusahasranama, Shri

Harivayustuthi, Shri

Sumadhvavijaya and taratamya stotras. The Rathotsava carrying the Sarvamoola

granthas of Shri

Madhvacharyaru and the photos of the deities were taken around the temple

premises with Bhajans

being sung by devotees dressed in Haridasara attire. This was followed by

archane and mangalarathi

on the dias to Shri HarivayuGurugalu. Dr. Aralumallige Parthasarathy rendered a

discourse on

Srimadacharyaru and his works, followed by alankara pankthi to temple priests,

Madhva elders and

later to all the devotees (about 130 people)in a sit down traditional style. The

food was prepared

in the authentic style on site by the volunteers. Later the devotees were

blessed by pontiff of

Srimadhvacharya moola samsthana matadipathy of Shri Puttige Mutt Shri 1008 Shri

Sugunendra

theertha Swamiji. The event concluded in the evening with taratamya bhajane

followed by maha

mangalarathi.
