Guest guest
I have one question to the learned ones. we know that the 4 phases in a person's life is Brahmacharya, Gruhasta, Sanyasa and Vaanaprashta. But nowadays we see that sanyasashrama is being given to young brahmachari's who have not passed though the stage of gruhasta. Some people might give the instance saying Sri Madhvacharya also took up sanyasa at a very young age. But can we ever compare the sanyasi of this age to the great Sri Madhwacharya? There is a lot of fuss about Sri Abbur mata swamiji giving ashrama to young brahmachari though the boy's parent were unwilling to accept the swamiji's decision. I dont know how far will this issue be prolonged. will it ever be resolved? But in the long run, will the young sanyasi be able to overcome all the worldly pleasures and desires and behave like a true sanyasi has to behave? When greats like Sri Raghavendra Thirtha and Sri Tikicharya were not able to escape the gruhasta asharama, will the young sanyasi be able to be strong enough to do so? But yes, we also have the greats like Sri Pejavar matha swamiji who took up sanyasa at a very young age of 7 years, and has been a truely an inspiration to the young sanyasis. But how many can have the strong mind and devotion as he has? Also we know the instance of Sri Vidyabhushana swamiji who came back from sanyasashrama to gruhastashrama? Now my main questions 1) Has Sri Madhwacharya ever prescibed about when sanyasa ashrama has to be given to a person? 2) Has shastras mentioned any tests to be performed before giving sanyasashrama? 3) Does the person who has accepted becoming a sanyasi need to have some predefined qualities? namaskaram Sripathi
