Dr. Aralumallige Parthasarathy's trip to SEATTLE - A Report

The financial and software capital of the pacific

northwest, the home city of Boeing and Bill Gate's

empire - Seattle, WA recently witnessed a series of

interesting Haridasa spiritual programmes from India.

VIDYAVACHASPATHI Dr. Aralumallige Parthasarathy, an

international celebrity from India conducted a series

of programmes in different parts of the Seattle area.

 

His lectures in DASA SAHITYA, Saint's Vadirajaru and

Vyasarayaru, Purandara Dasaru, Srimad Bhagavatham and

Ramayana captured the audience. Dr. Aralumallige

conducted a week long BHAGAVATHA SAPTAHA discourse at

the residence of Smt. Geetha and Sri. Sreenivasa Rao

from 24th March - 30th March 2005. His exposition of

the Uddava Geetha and other incidents such as Gajendra

Moksha, Ajamila, Prahlada, Dhruva and many other's was

astounding.

 

His lectures on RAMAYANA conducted at the local Hindu

temple on the 26th and 27th (each session lasting two

hours) were of extraordinary nature. He brought the

essence and lessons of RAMAYANA in a very descriptive

and fascinating format by explaining the mystical

meaning of Ramayana incidents.

 

He was the chief guest of honor on the occasion of

Sri. Vadirajara and Sri. Vyasarayara Aradhane

conducted by the Seattle Madhwa Sangha. He explained

the life, works, accomplishments and influence of

these two great saints for over two hours. His

explanation of how Navakoti Narayana became Purandara

Dasa was emotional.

 

His Kannada Sangha lecture held at the Redmond King-

County Library was a roller-coaster ride for over 1000

years of Karnataka's heritage. His melodious songs

and description of Karnataka's culture, literature,

relikgion, temples and heritage was astonishing. Dr.

Aralumallige made the audeince to understand the real

and hidden meanings of many Haridasa songs. His

narration of PurandaraDasa's GarbhaStuti and other

songs are exceptionally great.

 

For seven days, the fortunate audience of Seattle were

transported to a different spiritual heights by Dr.

Aralumallige. He was profusely complimented for his

one man Noble Global mission of taking Indian

spiritual heritage to all parts of the world very

effectively. Most of the people and organizations who

listened to his lectures invited him to come to the

Seattle area once again as the spiritual ambassador

brining sanctity, peace and solace.
