Guest guest
Shri. Brahmanya Theertharu He was the third descendant from Shri Rajendra Theertha in the line senior of disciples coming from Shri Vidyadhiraja Theertha. He is belived to be a Suryamsha Sambhootaru. Since Surya is the responsible Tattvabhimani Devatha for the eyes, i have heard that many people with eye related problems seek the saints succor to cure their eye ailments. It was with his blessings to a couple that another great Yati, Shri. VyasaTheertha was born (who later on became Brahmanya Tirtha's foremost disciples). Shri. Brahmanya Theertha lived mostly at Abbur (near Channapattana) in Karnataka. There he had a Matha of his own which later he was to entrust to his disciple Sreedhara Theertha. This Matha which still survives today is called the Kundapur Matha. Brahmanya Tirtha's accredited literary works include a gloss on the Tatparya of JayaTheertha. On this Vaishaka Shudda Krishna Dvadashi, today being his Aradhane, please visit his virtual Brindavana and seek his blessings. In the service of Hari, Vayu and Gurugalu.
