Dr. B. N. K. Sharma passes away

It is with deep regret we announce passing away of Mahamahopadyaya Dr.

B. N. K. Sharma to our Vishwa Madhva Sangha members throughout the

world. Dr. Sharma was the doyen in Madhva Philosophy in our times, and

throughout his long years of existence, he had tirelessly worked for the

cause of Madhva Philosophy, through his writings, speaches, interactions

with academics both in the East and in the West. He was instrumental in

bringing to light our Madhva Philosophy beyond the confines of strict

shastric circles within India and placed our Madhva Philosophy as a

beacon to the rest of the world. His writings are a class by themselves,

exemplified by sharpness in intelect, academic accuracy and the

conviction to spread sathya, the truth.

 

We offer our humble prayers to our Lord Sri Hari and Prana Devaru for

Sadgathi to this great soul.
