Dear KrishNa bhaktas,

Any new work by Sri Bannanje GovindAchArya is a

cause for celebrations by all students of mAdhva

philosophy. I am happy to inform people a recent

book published by poojya Sri BG. The book is called

" Upanishad Chandrika " . This was published couple of

months ago. The book is in Sanskrit. The book

consists of six short upanishads such as IshAvAsya,

KaTha, talavakAra, aTharvaNa,ShatprashNa and mAndUka,

bhashya of srimadAchArya, commentary by Sri

VamanapanditAcharya and sub-commentary by Sri BG.

 

Sri BG places great importance to the commentaries

written by people who have heard pAThas by

srimadAchArya himself or contemporaries of him. This

will enable us to find out srimadhAchArya's thoughts

and interpretations of various topics.

 

Sri vAmana panditAchArya refers to himself

" trivikramapanditAchArya dAsa " . Sri BG concludes from

this and his style that he belongs to the

trivikramapanditAchArya family and must be a son of

nArAyaNa panditAcharya.

 

This book definitely belongs in the book shelves of

all serious students of mAdhva philosophy. The

Sanskrit used by Sri BG is simple in nature. It looks

like he has in mind to help people like us who have

very limited understanding of Sanskrit.
