Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Puttige Matha (one of the eight mathas in charge of Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi) will be visiting Texas in September-October. Sri Krishna Mahapooja, Thottilu pooja (Cradle service) will be performed by Sri Swamiji in Austin/Temple, College Station, San Antonio, Temple and Houston.

 

In addition to the above, "MettilOtsava, Thottilu pooja (Cradle service)" will be performed at the Hindu Temple of San Antonio. MettilOtsava is a traditional function where devotees, singing keertanas and hymning Veda Ghosha, ascend the steps leading to the temple. This symbolizes virtually stepping up the ladder of spiritual path and finally attaining and attending the Lotus feet of the Almighty.
