The period of time of the eclipse is called the “Punya Kaala.” This is the sacred time for doing punya karmas and earning punya, as stated in Shastras. Everyone must take bath at the beginning and end of the eclipse time, it’ll be equivalent to Pavithra Snana. The presence of Abhimaani Devataas of Ganga and all other sacred rivers will be there in all water as stated in PuraNas. Everyone has to fast and do Japa, Pooja, and Stotra PaaraayaNa to get special Blessings of this auspicious time. Any Punya Karma done in this period gives multiple times of Phala and removes all doshAs. Timing of GrahaNa : PrArambha Madhya Anthya (US) E S T 6:33 AM 7:03 AM 7:32 AM Mountain Time 3:33 AM 4:03 AM 4:32 AM Pacific Time 3:33 AM 4:03 AM 4:32 AM This GrahaNa will begin in Revathi Nakshathra, Meena Rashi and it will end in Ashwini Nahshatra, Mesha Rashi. And it will also affect Vrishabha, Simha, Kanya, Tula, Vruschika, and Kumbha Rashi. People who were born in these Rashi-s should do special prayers to remove their GrahaNa doshA. Some parihAraas are chanting Vishnu Sahasra Naamaa, Rudra Abhisheka, Darshana and Pradakishana Namaskaara of the Lord, and daana of chana and toor dal to Vedic Brahmins. Special Pooja will be done in Shri Krishna Vrundavana on this Auspicious Day. All devotees can come and receive special Blessings of Lord Shri Krishna, Shri Aanjaneya, and Shri Raghavendra Swamiji.
