He is the Eleventh (11th) Yati under Sri Madhvacharya and is in Sri Aksobhya Tirtha Lineage. Sri Raghavendra Swamiji (Rayaru) is the 16th in the same lineage. Sri JitAmitraru, [believed by the tradition as] having Rudramsha, incarnated in a village Shivapura in ShAhpUr tAlUk in Gulbarga district, Karnataka. Tradition has that Shri Jitamitraru incarnated in Shivapura and later on vanished in the Krishna river near the confluence of the Krishna river and Bima river, by reappearing as Gonada tree in a small isle of Krishna River.
