Guest guest
Hare Srinivasa | Hearty wishes for a colourful Diwali. May the " Festival of Light " bring new light into your life and profession and enlighten you and your family in the path of jnana & Bhakthi. The three day festival is very much pleasing to Lord Shri Krishna as we worship HIM remembering HIS kindness to us on Naraka Chatursdashi day & Bali Padyami Day. Another important part of this festival is " Go-pooja " , a very sacred act to please Lord Shri Krishna. Though we have to worship and feed Cows everyday, it is not at all possible in this age. Hence at least on this day let us try to make it more meaningful celebration by joining those who worship and feed cows everyday. With the kind and generous donation of you all, Shri Kamadhenu Go Samrakshana Kendra, at Hoovinakere ( Sacred Birth place of Shri Vadiraja Gurusarvabhoumaru) is sheltering and feeding old and disabled cows. In the last ten years, the Kendra has protected a lot of cows from clutches of butchers and has been able to provide a peaceful life till their last breath. Sheltering and feeding cows is a continuously recurring expensive task and Kendra thanks to all those donors who generously helped us in this task of Goseva and Gopooje. Now with the increasing complexity of life, the cowsheds in the villages are slowly vanishing and the demand for Gokendra is increasing day by day. In order to serve more cows, the present facility is being extended with an annexure block to accommodate more cows and on this holy day of Go-pooja it will be offered to Lord Krishna by Shri Sode Swamiji. Kendra hereby conveys sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who supported us continuously and repeatedly. May Lord Krishna bless you all with more power to support such noble causes. For the benefit of Goseva aspirants we have two schemes 1) Nithya Gograsa Seva: You may kindly help us to feed all the cows on any one particular day of your interest in a year, by donating $11/. If you pay $100 or more, it would be a life long seva and the kendra will be happy to feed all the cows on that particular day in your name every year. 2) Shaswatha Gograsa Nidhi: On every dwadashi day you may kindly offer one coin to Lord, for Gograsa and keep doing it continuously. You may offer that collection whenever you feel like or whenever you visit India. Thus you will be supporting us to feeding one cow on every dwadashi day. Those who have not yet participated in these schemes may kindly do so on this holy day of Gopooja. As you know, Balipadyami is also one of the “sidda muhurthas” and whatever the good act you take up on this day will surely be returning in multifold. Please join hands with us to protect the old and disabled cows from the butchers and worship Lord by protecting cows. Those who have already contributed to us, may kindly help us to spread the message among your friends and relatives. May Lord Krishna bless you all with more happier days. Those who want to help us may kindly send their checks marked to Satkarya to the following address with a memo “ Shri Kamadhenu Go samrakshana Kendra” Satkarya, 1717, Greenwich Drive, Troy, MI Shri Hari Priyatham NamaskAra B.Gopalakrishna Varna Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
