Guest guest
Namskara to all, Many people know that, India (Bharathakanda) has got its name from the king Bharatha. But there were two great king Bharatha's in India. According to an online link on puranas, Bharathakanda gots its name from Bhratha, the son of King Dhushyantha and Shakunthale. One more article on ShrimadBhagawatha, Bharathaknada got its name the king Bharatha who was good ruler, later look up the asthetic life, but started looking after a deer, later reborn as a deer, then again reborn as a Brahmin with name Bharatha who was also called as JADABHARATHA. So my query is who was the king Bharatha, from who we got the name Bharathakanda. Learned people please enlighten. Dhanyavadagalu, Srinivas.
