Guest guest
Dhyana_Sandhya On Behalf Of S. Venkatesh Bhat Namaskara His Holiness Sri Vishvothama Theertha of Sode Mutt, who is camping at Sri Vadiraja Kalyana Mantapa, Netkallapa Circle, Bangalore, gave a short speech at the end of Sri Sameerachar's concert on Sunday, Jan 2. The Swamiji said miracles still happen at Sode and attributes them to Sri Hayagriva, Sri Madhva and Sri Vadiraja. He narrated one incident which happened during his chaturmasa stay at Sode in 2005. Immediately after theertha prasada one afternoon, a small girl collapsed and died. Froth came out of her mouth and her body turned ice cold. Mutt staff tried to revive her for 25 minutes but failed. Swamiji was informed. The thought which ran through his mind was that after the body is disposed of, he should take a bath and do pranava japa. On second thoughts, Swamiji decided to go near the body of the girl. Inspired by the Almighty Sriman Narayana, Swamiji took some mantrakshatha in his hand, chanted the holy names of Sri Hayagriva, Sri Madhva and Sri Vadiraja and put the mantrakshata on the girl's head. Immediately, life sprang back in the girl and she blinked and looked around. Then she sat up and became normal. Swamiji choked with emotion for a few seconds when he narrated this incident and then said he is just a ordinary person and that Sri Hayagriva, Sri Madhva and Sri Vadiraja run the show at Sode and elsewhere. There was a huge applause from the audience. Swamiji also complemented the people of Bangalore for their faith and said the majority of visitors to Sode are from Bangalore. I narrated this incident to a friend of mine. He said all Hindus should be proud of such incidents and publicise them, just like Christians give wide publicity to whatever miracles take place in the lives of their saints and nuns.
