Dear Sri Hari bhaktas,

By the grace of Sri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu, we will be celebrating Mettilotsava in Sri Venkateshvara Temple, Penn Hills (Pittsburgh) on Sunday Sep 3, 2006 and the Vishwa Madhva Sangha (VMS) Annual Retreat in Laurel Hill State Park (Organized Group Cabins Camp 5) during the Labor Day Holidays Sep 1-4, 2006. This will be the 5th year we will be having our Annual VMS Retreat and Mettilotsava. All are welcome.

We had a teleconference yesterday among the core group and the consensus was to proceed with paying the advance fee to Laurel Hill State Park to hold our reservation for our Annual VMS Retreat for Sep 1-4, 2006. Accordingly, I have sent the money today to Laurel Hill State Park.

We are making this preliminary announcement much ahead of the functions in Sep since we have to make our commitment to Laurel Hill State Park now to keep our reservation for our cabins, meeting hall, kitchen etc in this State Park.

Sri Janardhan has established a Blog http://www.jitamitra.org/mett2006/ for discussions and planning the VMS Retreat and Mettilotsava. Please visit this site to see pictures of the previous VMS Annual Retreats as well as such useful information as distance and driving distance to Laurel Hill State Park from various locations, amenities in the rustic surroundings of this State Park etc. Please provide your feed-back and comments for planning and formating the VMS Retreat thru this Blog.

We are seeking your enthusiastic support and help right from the beginning. All our Mettilotsavas and VMS Annual Retreats in the previous years had been very enjoyable and memorable spiritually, and we are looking for the repeat with as much improvements as humanly possible this year too, with our Lord's blessings.

We will make further announcements in this List as we draw closer to the events in Sep. Until then, please visit Sri Janardhan's Blog to know of the discussions in the planning process, and if possible please extend your help in the planning and execution. Thanks.
