Guest guest
Dear friends, While matching horoscopes an astrologer to whom I go often for comparing the horoscopes is of the firm belief that the gotra of the parent of the boy or girl should not be the same i.e if it is sagotra then the marriage should not be performed, and further if the gotra of the parties have a common rishi then also it should not be performed although the horoscopes may match well. In other words my pravaram reads Angeerasa Bourmaschya Moudgalya, and the astrologer says any party with Bharadwaja gotra should not be considered for the proposal of marriage, or for that matter any gotra with Angeersasa as the moola rishi in the pravara.I am on the look out for a suitable bride for my daughter and my gotra is Moudgalya many a proposals are being dropped because of the above stated reasons. May I request any learned friend who knows about these sastras to enlighten me. with kind regards yours truly R.Gopinath
