Guest guest
Dear All, As we all have started becoming busy at our work after the rest and relaxation in the holidays, we are still contemplating on the year gone by and the very many things in store for us in this year. A little bit of more contemplation leads us to the realization that this year 2007 is going to mark the 10th year anniversary of His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji's momentous first visit to the USA in the summer of 1997. Momentous indeed were then the each of the last ten years where by the grace of Sri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu we were fortunate to be the part of and at the same time witness to the growing spiritual renaissanace in the Madhva community in the US and acorss the globe, all due to the tireless efforts and grace of His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, Puthige Matha, Udupi. The difference between pre 1997 and post 1997 is like night and day in our lives touched by His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji. We do not know what little merrit we had earned in some poorva janmas, our kind Lord Sri Hari is showering on us His bountiful mercy in our lives through His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji. This year 2007 is also momentous where Sri Swamiji is undertaking extensive travels, pilgrimages to holy places and all the special poojas and spiritual activities in preparation for ascending the paryaaya peeta in Sri Krishna temple in Udupi next year (2008 January) about this time. In order to provide a medium of expression of our greatfulness for all that Sri Swamiji has so far done for our sake, we propose to bring out a Commomerative Volume. This will contain writings from as many of you as possible expressing in your own ways your thankfulness for what you and your family had experienced in meetings, poojas and interactions with Sri Swamiji either in your own homes or in general public gatherings. This may be as short as just the heart felt few lines or few pages - there are just no restrictions. Photographs, video recordings are also welcome accompanying your letters. All these will be collected and the Commomerative Volume, both print and electronic, will be professionally prepared and published by the best possible professional media expertise in India. This will be overseen by Sri Prasannacharya in Puthige Matha in Udupi. Please send your letters by e-mail to Sri Yogeendra Bhat Uli [yogeendrabhatuli] with out delay. Any non-electronic items please send to the following address: Efforts will be made to accommodate all the materails you are contributing in the Commerative Volume.
