Guest guest
MADHWA'S TEACHINGS MT/2/RTSA/11107/ Shri. Raghoottamteertha Swamiji's aradhana at the Satyadhyan Vidyapeeth Mulund. The Satyadhyan Vidyapeeth, Mulund commemorated Shri. Raghoottamteertha swamiji's aradhana on Sunday the 31 st December 2006. Special pooja was performed including panchamrita abhisheka to the Nava Vrindavana. Since it was dwadashi, pooja was started early in the morning and lasted two hours. A large number of devotees had assembled at the Vidyapeeth to witness the pooja from 5.00 a m. After the pooja, Kulpati. Vidyasimhacharya spoke on Shri. Raghoottamteertha Swamiji, a 16 th century ascetic and the High Priest of the Uttaradi Mutt. The Samiji was initiated into sanyasa at the age of seven. So scrupulously did he observe the tenets of the sanyasashrama that he came to be known as embodiment of renunciation. He was also a man of great scholarship and authored many works, which have continued to be quoted by scholars till today. He said that the real greatness of the Swamiji lay in the fact that he groomed many disciples like S/Shri Tarangini. Ramacharya, Vidyadheesteertha, Vedeshteertha, Yadvarya and Shrinivasteertha, who truly walked in the footsteps of their master in that all of them became outstanding scholars, wrote commentaries and led lives of total renunciation. The Swamiji entered Vrindavana at Tirukoilur in the present State of Tamil Nadu in the year 1595. Prasad was distributed to the devotees thereafter. Dear reader, Shri. Raghoottamteertha Swamiji has been known to bless his devotees, who seek true knowledge and renouncement of mundane cravings. Let us sincerely seek his blessings, which, I am sure, he will shower on all of us. With kind regards. R. T. Gutti.
