Annual VMS Retreat, Mettilotsava, Pittsburgh, May 26-28 (Memorial Day Weekend)

Dear Sri Hari Bhaktas,

 

By the grace of Sri Hari, Vayu, gurugalu, the Annual Vishwa Madhva Sangha (VMS) Retreat and Mettilotsava in Sri Venkateshwara Temple in the Pittsburgh area will be held during the Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28. This is the 6th year we will be gathering for these events in the Pittsburgh area. Please mark your calendars.

As in the previous year, our stay will be in the Organized Group Cabins 5 site in Laurel Hill State Park. For this purpose, the deposit for the issue of the Camp Permit to the VMS was submitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of State Parks yesterday. We will receive the Permit in another couple of months. The State Park has reserved the Cabins 5 site for Memorial Day weekend to our VMS.

Sri Janardhan Rao has set up a blog http://jitamitra.org/mett2007/ for facilitating the planning and discussions for the VMS Retreat and Mettilotsava. This site also has photographs of the previous year gatherings and useful information on the camp site, driving directions etc. Please do give us your input for planning all aspects for our gatherings. It appears, May 28 (Sunday) will be ekadashi and this adds significance for Mettilotsava, dharshana of Sri Srinivasa and sathsangha with our own devout devotees. We look forward to the VMS Retreat and Mettilotsava events every year. All are welcome.
